A Copper Equipotential Bonding Grid is a safety system that prevents electrical shock around pools by equalizing electrical potential. Made of #8 solid copper in a mesh pattern, it’s installed beneath the pool deck, extending 3 feet from the inside edge, and connects all conductive elements. This ensures stray electrical currents are safely dissipated, protecting swimmers and complying with NEC® Section 680.26(C). It’s essential for residential and commercial pools to eliminate voltage differences and enhance safety.

The gauge measurement of the CMI 2' x 100' Copper Equipotential Bonding Grid Kit (EB2100) is #8 solid copper, just like the 3' version.
