You can tell if your Pentair salt cell is bad if your pool water is not producing chlorine, the "Cell" or "Low Salt" indicator lights are on, or you see error codes on the control panel. Additionally, inspect the cell for heavy scale buildup or visible damage. If cleaning the cell and resetting the system doesn't resolve the issue, the cell likely needs replacement.
