To clean a pool heater heat exchanger, first turn off the heater and disconnect power and water supply. Remove the heat exchanger and use a soft brush or compressed air to clear debris, then flush it with a water hose or a descaling solution if needed. Reassemble and reconnect everything before restarting the heater.
